I can answer this in two ways. So, lately I’ve been obsessed with onions. I never used to like them, and now I cook with them a lot and eat them without hesitation. I don’t know why, but this happened right before I started college.

Also, one of my new favorite foods/ingredients is goat cheese. I had it for one of the first times this year, and I totally fell in love with it! I ate it all the time with crackers as a snack during the school year. It’s like heaven in my mouth. <3

hello everyone!! i’m alex (or mapleprince) and i’ve been meaning to do a giveaway since i reached my first hundred, and i finally decided what i’ll do to show my appreciation for everyone! i’m going to give away an eevee plush i bought at animethon last august!! it’s small and a fandom-related thing but i figured everyone knows eevee, right?

The closest I could find on Amazon to the watercolour set I use is the Sakura brand of Koi Assorted WaterColours Field Set.

Just use any old toothbrush. I used to use the ones that my dentist would give me after a visit, just because those were kind of cheap and I wouldn’t actually use them anyways.

I use acrylic for flicking and highlights because watercolour-whites tend to fade when they dry.

Also, remember to keep your hands clean, because nothing’s worse than smudging graphite into your watercolours and then unable to get it out.

Try to avoid black and white when possible. They tend to dull the colours and it loses that watercolouring lustre.

Since I started watercolouring again for my daily sketches, I’ve gotten a lot of asks/dA notes on if I could give a tutorial on watercolouring and also more specific questions that overlapped each other, so I decided to do a semi guide/tips/answering thing.

I actually started watercolouring before I went into digital medium, so I have a bit of personal experience, but I am essentially self-taught when it comes to watercolouring since there weren’t a lot of watercolour tutorials online back then to begin with, so I cannot promise that these are the absolute correct way of doing things.

can we just talk about this for a minute

because seriously i have so much respect for the adventure time team. they’ve made a successful cartoon that isn’t random poop and fart jokes for a solid eleven minutes. sure, adventure time has its immature moments, but then there’s parts like this.

pb’s backed up against the wall in a position that’s way too common in today’s society. you can tell she’s scared and uncomfortable. so what does she do? she beats the shit out of ricardio.

she doesn’t “play nice”, she doesn’t “let him down gently”, she tears off his limbs and stomps on his face. then ricardio tries to play the nice guy card and she has none of it. it’s refreshing to see something aimed at children that doesn’t state that girls need to be polite and sweet and stand by while someone makes them uncomfortable.

basically, i love this show and i love how it teaches girls something that’ll actually come in handy some day. god fucking bless.

Starfire was not shamed for being emotional. Her powers come from her emotions.

Raven was not shamed for suppressing her emotions. Her power requires amazing control.

They both. Work. They are both different kinds of strength, and they are both heroic and powerful and good. And they each learned from the other, and helped each other out by seeing from each others’ perspective, and finding the value in their differing approaches! Wow!

Fuck yes, this is how you write super-ladies, okay. There’s more than one way to be a “strong female character.” There’s all different kinds of strength. Why don’t more people GET this?
